How to Register on the Website
The broker’s official website is decorated in beautiful deep blue tones. If we were choosing the most favorite color among online brokers, it would definitely be blue.
As for the functionality of the site, there were some problems. Some tabs won’t open for some reason and give a 403 error. What is the reason, whether it is a temporary failure or the site is simply unfinished, is not reported anywhere. In general, the menu is standard. The footer even contains legal information.
The registration process looks simple. You should provide personal information in the form: phone number and email address, full name. You also need to select the account type and (optionally) enter a promo code. Apparently, it is part of the OnsaFX broker referral program.
However, registration does not take place the first time. The first time the system failed, an error was displayed. We tried again, and they immediately let us into our personal account without any verification at all.
The personal account, by the way, turned out to be quite standard. We didn’t find anything supernatural about it. Only the very familiar sections that hundreds of other brokers have with a similar template.
OnsaFX Trading Instruments and Platforms
OnsaFX provides access to trading through CFDs and the Forex market, allowing clients to speculate on price movements without owning the underlying assets. The broker claims to support a wide range of currency pairs, covering both major and minor Forex instruments, which is a standard offering for this type of platform. As for trading software, OnsaFX offers the MetaTrader 5 terminal, known for its advanced charting tools, indicators, and automated trading capabilities.
In addition to MT5, the company promotes its own proprietary trading platform, which is presented as a more simplified alternative, although detailed information about its functionality, stability, and real advantages is not publicly disclosed. Besides, there is no evidence that this software has been independently tested, audited, or licensed by any recognized authority.
Account Types Offered
The broker offers four account types, which formally differ in minimum deposit size, spreads, execution model, and service level. However, upon closer inspection, it becomes apparent that the description of terms and conditions is superficial and leaves too many important questions unanswered.
- The Basic account is aimed at beginner traders and requires a minimum deposit of $100. The spread on the EUR/USD pair is stated to start from 1.2 pips, there are no commissions, and leverage reaches 1:500. Execution is designated as STP, which suggests that trades are sent to liquidity providers, but the broker provides no evidence of this model. Information about possible requotes, slippage, and actual order execution speed is also not disclosed. The platforms are standard (MT5 and WebTrader), but contract specifications, swaps, and additional trading costs are not specified at all.
- The Standard account, which the broker calls the most popular, requires an initial deposit of $500. Spreads are lower here, from 0.8 pips on EUR/USD, commissions remain absent, and leverage remains at 1:500. The execution type is designated as Market Execution, but the company doesn’t explain how it differs fundamentally from STP on the Basic account. The mention of priority support appears to be more of a marketing ploy, as its actual benefits are not disclosed. As with the previous account, there is no information about swaps, minimum stop-out levels, margin requirements, or actual trading restrictions.
- The Advanced account is designed for more experienced traders and requires $5,000. Here, the broker lists raw spreads from 0.0 pips and a commission of $4 per lot, and lists the execution type as ECN. Leverage has been reduced to 1:400, which may seem more reasonable, but no technical details of the ECN model are disclosed: liquidity providers, market depth, availability of a market depth chart, or actual connection to the interbank market. The assignment of a personal manager also raises questions, as in practice, such support is often used to pressure the client rather than assist with trading.
- The Elite account almost completely duplicates the terms of the Advanced account, but requires a deposit of at least $10,000. Spreads and commissions are stated to be the same, and leverage is also limited to 1:400. In reality, the difference boils down to a higher entry threshold, and the broker doesn’t explain what real benefits the client receives for doubling the deposit. There is no information about additional services, reduced commissions, or improved trading conditions, making the existence of this account questionable.
Deposits and Withdrawals
The broker requires mandatory verification before depositing or withdrawing funds, but the personal account barely discloses any specific payment details. Essentially, users are only provided with a general statement that the company accepts cryptocurrency transfers exclusively in TRC20 stablecoins, without any further explanation or detailed instructions.
Furthermore, OnsaFX provides no information about deposit and withdrawal fees, nor does it specify payment processing times. Clients are left to guess how long transactions will take and what additional costs they may incur. This is especially odd given the broker’s claims of a wide range of payment methods: bank cards, bank transfers, cryptocurrency, UPI.
OnsaFX Legal Status: Legitimate or Not?
Now the question arises about the broker’s legality. The company claims to be registered in South Africa and provides license details from the local regulator. We verified this information and indeed found the specified number in the registry. The entry has been in place since 2023. However, this is essentially where the positive aspects end.
Furthermore, it’s important to understand that, in practice, this regulator primarily deals with companies that are only formally registered in South Africa but are actually managed from other jurisdictions. In such cases, oversight is limited to document exchange and formal record-keeping, rather than actual oversight of the relationship between traders and brokers. This is why, in the event of disputes or financial problems, it is extremely difficult to obtain justice through this regulator. It does not consider client complaints on the merits and lacks effective mechanisms for pressuring companies operating outside the country.
Company History
The analysis revealed that the company uses multiple domain names, each containing different information about the scale of its operations. For example, the website onsamarket.com claims to have over 15,000 clients. However, Whois data shows that this domain was only registered in 2025.
However, the company also has an older domain name, onsafx.com. On this website, the broker claims to have over 20,000 clients, and the domain itself was indeed registered significantly earlier. However, a check using web archive services shows that the actual website activity, including content publishing and attempts to launch a full-fledged brokerage platform, only began after 2023.
Onsamarket.com Online Reputation
The company’s reviews on Trustpilot clearly demonstrate that the broker has virtually no appeal to the general public. Despite its claimed 15,000 clients, the platform’s page contains only nine reviews, which alone seems odd. Moreover, a significant portion of the comments are downright negative. One trader describes in detail how he fell victim to a cryptocurrency scam: he says he was convinced to deposit funds after meeting someone online, was initially given the option to withdraw small amounts to build trust, and then, when attempting to withdraw larger amounts, his applications were subject to scrutiny and ultimately blocked under the pretext of AML procedures. After this, customer support virtually ceased contact.
The reviewer also points to frequent domain name and brand changes, noting that the company previously operated under a different name, and that the old websites and trading platforms are now unavailable. He believes these actions are related to attempts to avoid a negative reputation and user complaints. Taken together, such comments only heighten doubts about the broker’s reliability and sit poorly with claims of a large client base and years of experience.
The Final Take
OnsaFX exhibits multiple signs of being a scam: deposits and withdrawals are confusing and poorly handled, trading conditions are not fully disclosed, and its licensing and registration are unreliable. We strongly advise avoiding this broker.

I requested a withdrawal from OnsaFX over 48 hours ago, and it still hasn’t been processed. The platform had promised that withdrawals would be completed within 24 hours, but that clearly hasn’t happened. There’s no clear explanation from support. emails go unanswered or you get vague, templated responses. It’s frustrating because you don’t know if the problem is on their side or if your funds are being intentionally held. For a broker that claims to be professional, this lack of transparency and accountability is a serious red flag…
