CG Invest Review — Truth About the Broker

1

In our cginvest.com review, we’ll take a closer look at a broker that promises its clients a truly innovative approach to trading. The company also boasts numerous awards for its 27-year history, but we’ll examine how true these claims are and whether it’s truly safe to work with, or whether the broker’s reliability leaves much to be desired.

How to Register on the Website

CG Invest’s official website looks fresh and modern. The pleasant color scheme is pleasing to the eye, but that’s where the advantages end. Specific information about the broker is extremely limited. We mostly see grandiose claims about its innovation and success, with virtually no actual company data. The platform is only available in English and Arabic, which seems odd for a broker that positions itself as a global player. Another plus is the legal information, which is located in considerable detail in the footer.

The website looks modern but offers very little concrete information about the broker or its services.

Registration on the website is very quick and easy. Simply fill out a short form with your contact information, including your full name, phone number, email address, and address. The broker also offers alternative login options via Google or Facebook, which speeds up the process.

Account registration is fast and can be done via email or social login.

CG Invest’s personal account also turned out to be quite limited in functionality. We didn’t find many of the advertised features, such as CopyTrading or other tools mentioned on the website. Moreover, the specified methods for replenishing an account turned out to be unavailable or simply did not work, which seems extremely strange and raises questions about the reliability and transparency of operations.

CG Invest Trading Instruments and Platforms

CG Invest offers CFD trading on a variety of assets, including currency pairs. The broker provides the MetaTrader 5 terminal, one of the most popular and functional tools on the market, for accessing the platform. The software is available for desktop, mobile, and web browser versions, allowing traders to access their accounts from anywhere and monitor the market in real time. MetaTrader 5 supports a wide range of indicators and graphical tools, allows for custom trading strategies using expert advisors, and allows for the simultaneous analysis of multiple charts. This allows users to execute both short- and long-term trades, plan risk management, and test trading strategies in real time.

Account Types Offered

CG Invest offers three types of trading accounts: CG Plus, CG Pro, and CG Prime. Unfortunately, their terms and conditions are only partially disclosed.

  • The CG Plus account is suitable for beginners and intermediate traders. The minimum deposit is $50, spreads start at 1.0 pip, and maximum leverage reaches 1:1000. Swap-free trading is available, and the stop-out is set at 20%. There are no commissions on trades.
  • The CG Pro account is designed for more experienced users. The minimum deposit is $250, spreads start at 0.6 pips, and the maximum leverage remains at 1:1000, while the stop-out and swap-free options remain. The trading commission is $5 per lot.
  • The CG Prime account is designed for advanced traders who demand the best conditions. The minimum deposit is $1,000, spreads start at 0.0 pips, leverage is up to 1:1000, stop-out is 20%, and swap-free trading is still available. The commission per lot is $3.
However, even this information doesn’t paint the full picture. Swap rates and other hidden fees for deposits or withdrawals are not disclosed, and the very high leverage creates increased risk when using the platform. Based on this information alone, it’s difficult to assess the profitability of trading with CG Invest.

Deposits and Withdrawals

CG Invest claims to support several deposit and withdrawal methods: credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and cryptocurrency payments. However, when we logged into our personal account, we found only one deposit method: through the GateToPay intermediary. Even this option doesn’t always work correctly and requires contacting customer support to resolve issues. This deposit method raises serious doubts about the transparency and security of transactions. Users are forced to rely entirely on the intermediary and the broker’s staff, with virtually no guarantees of timely deposits or withdrawals to real accounts.

CG Invest Legal Status: Legitimate or Not?

On the broker’s website, the company is registered in four countries with valid licenses in at least two, an office in Dubai, and phone numbers in London and California. We’re more interested in the registration and licenses, so we checked these details first.

CG Invest claims that its website is operated by CG Global Ltd., a company registered in Mauritius, with a registration number and license from the local regulator, the FSC. Copies of the registration certificate and licenses are also available. These documents indicate that the company was previously known as Halteh Financial Group and changed its name to CG Global Ltd. in November 2023.

According to the Mauritius Business Registry, the registration has been confirmed. The company has been in existence since April 14, 2022. However, there is no information about the name change in the registry. The FSC database also lists an Investment Dealer license for this company, issued on the same day.

The broker claims an offshore license in Mauritius, which provides minimal protection for clients.

The regulator does not publish information about the company’s trade names or websites, so a direct connection between CG Invest and CG Global Ltd cannot be confirmed. We’re only reviewing cginvest.com and not other companies in the group. However, registration records in other countries mentioned in the footer have been confirmed.

It’s important to understand that the FSC license is offshore, and it doesn’t guarantee honest operations. High leverage of up to 1:1000 indicates that restrictions are minimal. Furthermore, the company doesn’t have a physical office in Mauritius.

Company History

CG Invest’s age isn’t so straightforward either. On its homepage, the company claims 25+ years of experience in financial markets. However, all of the group’s companies were registered after 2018, and CG Global Ltd., which operates the website, has been in existence since 2022, albeit under a different name.

WHOIS data shows that the cginvest.com domain was registered in 2005. Even taking this fact into account, the platform has been operating for less than 25 years, which clearly contradicts the stated timeframe.

Looking at archived images of the website on Web Archive, it’s clear that full-scale operations only began in early 2025. Prior to that, the domain was sold by the hosting company.

Cginvest.com Online Reputation

Reviews of CG Invest are extremely mixed. There are both positive comments, in which traders praise the broker’s user-friendly interface and relatively low spreads, and negative ones. On Trustpilot, for example, we found several messages where clients warn others not to use this broker, calling it unsafe and questionable. It’s important to understand, however, that genuine reviews are very few. There are only about 40 on the platform, and most were published in the last few months.

User reviews are few and conflicting.

The Final Take

CG Invest shows multiple signs of being unreliable. The combination of offshore licensing, unclear ownership, limited transparency on deposits and withdrawals, and conflicting information about the platform’s history makes it a high-risk choice for traders. Avoid depositing funds.

Check These Before You Trade

The broker holds an offshore license from Mauritius through CG Global Ltd., but such licensing offers minimal protection and does not guarantee lawful operation in most countries. True regulatory oversight and safeguards for traders are limited.
Despite claims of multiple payment methods, in practice, deposits are processed only through a third-party intermediary, GateToPay. Withdrawal issues and lack of transparency indicate significant risk for clients.
CG Invest provides basic details on spreads, leverage, and commissions, but many key costs like swap rates or additional fees are undisclosed. High leverage (up to 1:1000) combined with incomplete contract specifications makes the actual trading conditions potentially much less favorable than advertised.

1 review about CG Invest

  1. I hate to admit it, but I fell for this broker’s bait. At first, it seemed like a great option: promises of great conditions, a small minimum deposit, leverage up to 1:1000 – everything looked so tempting that I decided to give it a try. At first, everything seemed fine. I opened an account, deposited some money, and started trading. The first thing that alerted me was the platform’s strange behavior. If you’ve ever traded on MetaTrader, you know that the platform is generally stable. But here, it simply started slowing down at the most inopportune moments. Often, when I tried to open or close a trade, there were delays, which led to losses. I contacted technical support, but there was no response. Everything boiled down to the standard replies, saying the problem was on my end. Okay, I figured, maybe it was an isolated incident. But then the fun began. I tried to withdraw some of my funds. I submitted a request and started waiting. And then the real thriller began. The request was pending for several days. No updates, nothing. I contacted support – nothing. When they finally responded, they said I needed to go through re-verification. And then I realized things were bad. Of course, I submitted all the information, but the process dragged on for weeks. Each time there were new demands, some incomprehensible documents I’d never seen before. It seemed their goal was simply to stall for time and not give me the money. In the end, of course, I got my way and withdrew some of my funds, but it was pure hell. And this is despite the fact that I deposited very small amounts, so what about those who deposited serious money? My problems didn’t end there. I noticed that spreads started widening, and without any warning. Save your money and your nerves. This broker is a complete scam. It’s better to spend your time searching for truly reputable companies than wasting it trying to get your money back from this swamp.
